I bought this bag for my hubby as he travels ten days at a time, the roll-a-board wasn't cuttin it and he needed to check the bag anyway as it was too heavy to lug around the airport!
Anyway...once received I pulled the entire thing apart.
There are SO many nooks and crannies to stuff your items that I'm sure I'll pull out a half eaten sandwich one day. It opens up to reveal an entirely sealed case...nice then no one can see your nifty ninja suit hiding if you have to open your suitcase in the middle of the airport.
You unzip that to reveal a fold over with two pockets for shoes...hubby wears a size 13 and they STILL fit! You flip that over and you have a four foot length for all those suits, pants...penguin suits. and hubby is so funny that way, he needs a new outfit for everyday...count em up, that would be 20 articles of clothing JUST for work. Forget workout gear, lounge stuff blah blah blah. So I was able to fit all that stuff on the little hanger holders THEN there are two triangle organizers at the top by the holder, so sox and boxers went in there...I thought surely there was no way I was going to fit the rest of his stuff in, but, I packed a pair of jeans, shorts, two work out outfits, lounge pants, and two shirts around all the rest of it. Not to mention his travel alarm clock, flip flops, tennies and a partridge in a pear tree.
So count it up...enough clothes to clothe a small village, four pair of shoes, and a pair of flip flops, travel alarm oh frozen goodies from home so he doesn't always have to eat out.
I was still able to close and zip it all without having my children sit on the bag while I zipped it up!
Definitely worth the money!!!!

This a very classic piece of luggage, but with modern style. Its solid, the most secure (3 locks) and colourfull. It can carry many clothes for at least 2 weeks (basically jeans t-shirts, shoes). I haven't had any problems with it. i bought the red one, its a great color, everybody turns to see your luggage.
Will buy another one after this one.

I had to get a bag w / support and enough room for many books ... (nursing program). It's held up pretty well so far w / no problems and I have to drag this thing through street n rocks, conrete, & brick. Its only been a month but its held up great and I get a lot of compliments in it being so different and cool lookin.

Ripped easily!
This is a great, roomy bag. But after only a few months of my 9 years old using it at school, the outside corners haved ripped out. He does not even change classes with it! Only uses it during carpool, going and coming to school!
Now we have to send it in for warranty, although it is probably not under warranty due to "normal wear and tear", or we have to buy another bag. We had previously tried buying a cheap rolling backpack and that one ripped. So, I thought buying an expensive bag with a warranty would be better. Oh, well ...

Good enough for school
Bought this for my 11-year-old daughter. Ordered "Chocolate Chip" and Amazon shipped "Brown". Daughter was a bit disappointed, but chose to use the new backpack rather than wait through a return.

Backpack is solidly built, rolls well (decent wheels). My daughter says it could use more pockets for school use, and she is still not fond of the color.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this bag. They call it a 'rollaboard' and maybe it is in its smaller configuration, but if you've got it completly filled and the expanding section unzipped - good luck getting past the gate agents or into any but the largest of overhead bins. I'm fine with this because I bought with the intent to check it on most flights. I have the 'Moss' color and I really like it. It stands out from the sea of black bags and doesn't show dirt very easily. The material seems very durable as do the wheels, handle and other hardware. The collapsing handle works quite well and if you zip up the flap on the top - the handle disappears completly. I give this 4 stars only because the 'no-wrinkle' garment rolling thing doesn't really work that well - but do they ever?"

Good for identifying your luggage

If you're like me (and apparently, 99% of the rest of the population), you have black luggage. This means that you stand around the luggage carousel at the airport, picking up every piece that goes by you because they all look the same.

These tags are great for making yours stick out from the rest. The tags seem to be pretty rugged, as they've held on flights to Australia, Canada, and multiple domestic trips. The writing on them hasn't been worn off and the tags still look like new.

I gave them 4 stars because I think they're a little overpriced for 3 pieces of plastic.

No matter what luggage I'm bringing with me, I always put a Big Tag on it. I've been on so many trips where people have commented how easy it is to spot my luggage because of these tags on them. Mine are spotted from far off, when other people are seeking out their bags amongst the hundreds of similar tags.
Big Tag for Luggage Note that I don't actually write my personal information on the back of the tag. I like to keep my information more private, and keep my information in a sealed tag on the outside. I also put my business card inside the luggage in case the tag gets ripped off completely. This big tag is solely for spotting the bag, identifying it as mine. It's not about having my information on the bag for others :)
I've never had the big tag ripped off or torn or missing, which has definitely happened with many other tags I use. So this is a great, sturdy identification piece that is very helpful on all of your bags.

I purchased the luggage tags just to distinguish my black roller bag from everyone else's. These tags were so cheap, and priced accordingly that I suppose I should not complain. However, they were described as "neon". There was nothing neon about the colors. Plus, the clear plastic cover into which you insert the ID information tore immediately.

Customer Review: Good but not perfect

I needed a new messenger bag and love Kenneth Cole products generally. I purchased this after scanning Amazon for days and settled on this one primarily because of size and style. In those terms, the product does not disappoint. My 15" laptop fits nicely as does my iPod, headphones, and paperwork that makes it fairly ideal for traveling. A couple of issues to be aware of although it shouldn't deter your purchase. The leather is very soft and malleable. Murphy's law attacked my bag on the first day as the bag slid across some protrusion when I stepped out of the car leaving a small but obvious "scar" on the leather. I'm sure I can touch it up but this is different from natural leather aging. If you're accident prone like me in terms of scuffs, be wary of this bag. My only other complaint is that there's no handle (which I didn't really notice upon purchase), which makes it difficult to handle if you can't use the shoulder strap in a setting. Again, a small inconvenience at times but it shouldn't deter you from purchasing a fine product, just somethings to be aware of.

I am really pleased with this product. I used it for the first time a few days after it arrived, and I love it. The expanders on the large pieces are new to me, but I don't know how I packed without them! The color is even better than pictured! The only serious drawback is the handle height. I'm taller than average, so the highest point of the handle on the smaller suitcase is a little low for me; it can be uncomfortable to pull long distances. The second (minor) drawback is the locks provided are worthless. They're really flimsy and you can "unlock" it just by pulling. So if you feel the need for locks, you'll want to get your own and not rely on the ones provided.

I bought this set of luggage for my daughter. She was tired of using a single black bag which was not only lacking in "style" but was problematic returning from Kauai where a 50 lb. limit was placed on each piece of luggage. (We didn't think to bring an extra bag!)
We looked at bags from Costco and other retailers but the prices were prohibitive. When she decided to purchase this set of luggage, I was concerned about the quality of the product considering the low price for which it was offered.
To my surprise, the bags are top notch. The seams and zippers seem well sewn and the bags appear quite sturdy. I am confident at this point they will withstand the test of time (and the airline baggage handlers).

I was pretty happy with this suitcase for the 1st month & 1st round-trip I had it. Then I was heading out for my 2nd round-trip and my boyfriend said, "The wheel! It's coming off!" -- and sure enough, one of the front wheels was 1/2 way off. The airlines taped it and shrink-wrapped it for safety (JAL Business Class rocks!) but even so, by the time I got back from my second trip, the other front wheel was coming off. And the warranty process looks kind of odious -- you have to ship it at your expense and see if they'll deign to honor the warranty or not -- they could decide it wasn't their fault and charge for the repair... I wish I hadn't bought this suitcase. (I didn't buy it at Amazon, though; I bought it at Marshall's.

I found the previous review interesting since the reviews for the individual pieces of luggage in this set were pretty much positive. We decided to go ahead and buy based on those critiques since there were more of them. We received our set in a timely manner, the quality was good--luggage handles worked great. These are roomy and lightweight, and the cost was within our budget. These pieces looked better than the ones in the department stores that we'd been checking in similar price ranges. Though not frequent travellers, we do use suitcases 4-5 times a year and believe that these will work just fine for us.

I am very disappointed:

The tags are not leather. Two of them are a sort of heavy leather-like substance, the third just plain cheap plastic.

They did not have the colors advertised on their website and had to substitute others.

I asked that the order be shipped to my PO box since I was going to be out of town. They addressed the package to the PO box, then sent it UPS so I had to chase it down when I returned home.

I would not order from this company again.

I have a luggage container from samsonite that is 20 years old that the lock was broken on. I wanted a replacement for it and found this new model. The plastic is not as strong as my original suitcase, but it gets the job done. The new handle that allows the suitcase to roll on the fattest side is much better and more stable than the old one that allows the suitcase to roll on its skinney side. The locks are strong and the wheels roll very nicely.

Comfort Grip Luggage Handle is a wonderful invention that comes under the heading of "Why didn't I think of that first?"
This is a really excellent idea that functions to make the handle of your luggage more comfortable to grip, especially if you are carrying a heavy bag. It also makes your bag clearly visible as yours from a distance, thereby replacing all the ribbons, crocheted chains of yarn, etc. that you've used before.

Customer Review: Not the quality I expected from Macy/Olympia/Amazon

This was not the quality I expected from Macy's and Olympia, but I guess I should have been tipped off by the price.

I thought "gully lined" in the descriptions was a typo for "fully lined". NOT! There is only a very shoddy lining in the bottom of each case. Insides are quite rough. Carry-on is much smaller than typical-- probably won't hold more than a day's clothes. Wheeled tote would be better for work than travel.Handles are riveted on, not screwed. Only the biggest bag has the top strap to attach another bag and with no bottom handles there is nothing to attach to anyway. Mesh zip compartments are shoddy too.

Am hoping that the Olympia quality and durability is in the case and the cheaper price was the lack of lining etc.

On the plus side, the exterior looks fine and it wheels well, at least empty. And the price was good.

Shipping was very fast, but box was damaged so it will be a hassle to return if I want to.

Customer Review: Quality Product

I've purchased a set of this about 7+ years ago. I've mainly used the 25" and 21" bags the most. The 21" is allowed to go onto the plane as a carry-on. I've used the 25" and 21" yearly for my int'l + domestic travels. Its seen some brutal baggage handling but still works perfectly.
The wheels are definitely good quality and never had any problems with it. The interior handles is the perfect length and makes wheeling the bags easy. I usually put a heavy duffel bag on top of the 21" and wheel both bags together that way. The 2.5" expansion is really great when you go on trips. BUT the problem is when you expand the bags, it tends to fall over since the weight becomes a bit uneven. The top front pocket is pretty small but good for holding tags or small things. The bottom front pocket can hold quite a lot of stuff.
Overall this is a great quality bag. When I purchased this a few years ago I got it at a discount in Macy's. I figure because the entire set was purchased so cheaply, the quality of this bag might be poor and probably wont last through 2-3 int'l flights. I'm glad to find that I'm wrong and definitely love this luggage set.

Good, Sturdy Bag
The bag is well constructed and has alot of available room inside. It would have gotten 5 stars if they had it in green instead of flaming blue, but it is a great bag regardless of the color. It should provide for many years of luggage use.

This cart is made of durable plastic, so it is light but a bit more flexible than I would have expected. It held 75 lb packages a few hundred yards into a trade show, which is all I needed, but I do not expect it to be very durable over time. I think there are metal carts out there for the same price that are better value.

I bought this bag as a birthday gift for myself expecting that a Jansport would be cute and durable. I took it on an overseas trip and was not disappointed. I carried everything I needed for an overnight plane trip, morning clean-up, a full day trip, and ANOTHER overnight plan trip in this bag. After purchasing new luggage for an upcomming cruise, I found myself in need of TSA locks, and name/identity tags for my purchases. After extensive research, I decided on these tags from The BeltOutlet. The order arrived within the week via first class mail. The tags are of very nice supple glove leather. Each tag, I ordered 5 all together, 1 brown and 4 black, is sewn around the edges which makes them not only look good, but makes them quite durable. The strap seems flimsey at the glance, but its not, its the supple soft leather its made of. Each tag features a heavy celophane window with a leather button snap flap that covers your personal information. Each tag comes with a black security cover which slips over the celophane window, and the leather flap snaps over that. Each tag also contains a business card sized infomration card with labels and lines for entering your name, address and phone number. The prices were reasonable for a nice all leather tag, and they do offer quantity discounts. The only dissapointment was they did not participate in the free shipping deal that Amazon offers on many items if your purchase totals $25 or more. Over all, I am very pleased with the prompt shipping, and quality feel and look of these tags. We'll see how they hold up on our trip, but I expect no problems. One note, they really should put a better photo on Amazon as the photo they are using now makes the tags look plastic, fake, and somewhat cheap. They are not, they are very nice leather. I cannot see anyone being dissapointed with this product.

Customer Review: No top handle

I have had this bag a couple weeks now and I am looking for another. It may work well for you, but it doesn't work very well for me, because every time I put it in the car or take it on / off my desk, I miss the small handle that most bags have on the top for just this purpose. Instead, I am lifting my arm way up into the air to elevate the bag - not great for the ol' back. This bag only has a shoulder strap.
Also it's not large enough for what I need to put in it (I'm a teacher), there's virtually no expansion, and I find the extra pockets unwieldy.
Very stylish though.

I love this bag. It's the perfect size to carry what I need to work (Blackberry, lunch, Kindle, magazine, some makeup, iPod), and will fit my Nikon camera and an umbrella if needed.
The dimensions were not listed so I wasn't quite sure how big it was until I received it. It's 16" long, 10" high, and 6" deep.
I'm giving it 4 stars only because the yellow color is not as bright as shown in the picture. It's more of a mustard yellow.

Then I saw this one and had seen the Lewis and Clark ones before, and Amazon had the best price by far. I am very satisfied with these straps. I bought this bag three yeas ago in black. I really liked it, so I bought 2 larger ones about a year ago. I have used the "22" many times. I have lent it to others. I have had no problems. It's compact but roomy enough for short trips. When not fully expanded, it fits in the carry-on box. All three of mine came with suit bags and easy-view toiletry bags with have three sections and a door hook; very handy. The suit bag in the 22" fits in the lid and helps to reduce wrinkles, but it's small for a man's suit. Sturdy, organized, and easy to carry!!!
We have had this bag since 1999 and it is still in great shape! We used Rick Steve's navy bag, his books(the best), and his silk money bags on a trip to Europe in 1999. They were all wonderful and we had a trip of a life-time on a budget, thanks to Rick Steves. My husband and I both have the covertable carry-on and this was our "large" bag for our trip. We traveled light across Europe and moved quickly on and off trains and around countries(felt sorry for people with big bags with wheels on stone streets).

Great product.
I wasn't expecting these to be as nice as they are, by any means. My parents recently bought a four piece set for twice as much as these, and they're no where near as nice. Not only are the outsides nice, but the inside has a zip pocket on the inside cover, and two more for smaller items.

They are also very flexible, more-so than any other luggage I've ever dealt with. I packed everything I needed for a four day vacation in the smallest of this set.

When they arrived not only was I surprised, but my parents were as well. If you're looking for a nice luggage set for a really good price, this is it. I'm very satisfied!

The other bar had become "ripped", as a screw that was supposed to attach the handle to the bar was apparently applied too close to the edge. After that, I just put it right back in the box.

I purchased the Navy bag and it is a lot better than other duffel bags I have owned. The shoe compartment holds my cleats and flip flops with ease. The inside of the bag is lined to keep out moisture. The center compartment holds a mini ball, size 5 soccer ball, shin guards, water bottles, and all of my spring season clothes, which can be a lot depending on Colorado weather. This bag is great.

I absolutely love this bag! The only problem would be that I expected an actual padded shoulder strap to come with the purchase of this bag, since thats the way the description read. However when I received the bag, it came with a sticker that said something along the lines of part sold separately. I'm still not sure if the shoulder strap the description referred to was the padded velcro handle straps or an actual shoulder strap, but either way watch out for things like that! Other than that, the bag completely functioned as I wanted it to and had lots of pockets to store different things. Great print too!

It's the perfect size for these purposes. It's the kind of tote she can throw over her shoulder, and it has a water bottle holder for one on-the-go. It has an inside pocket, as well as a roomy outside pocket, both with secure zippers. On the opposite outer side, there is a compartment which serves as a pocket when the bottom is zipped, but when necessary, the bottom can be unzipped so that the bag may be slipped over the handle of a rolling suitcase. The outer zipper has a cover flap, so though we haven't had the need to test it in inclement weather, it has been designed for such. Very utilitarian, and youthful enough to be used by a teenager.

American Tourister iLite Expandable 21"

Been to airports and back
My 21" Ilite (available for under $90.00) has crossed the Atlantic twice (along with multiple trips IAD-Honolulu, IAD-LAX, IAD-ORD). This carry-on iLite functioned well (spacious; wheels rolled smoothly; the iLite has several handles which provided grips for lifting into overhead compartment). On several flights, I chose to check in the luggage, and the iLite's blue shell provided much easier identification in a sea of black luggages. When scuff marks on the blue iLite showed, soapy water and a toothbrush provided the clean-up solution. This iLite is holding its own and has more miles to fly.

It is bigger than I thought, and I manage to put in a lot of stuff there. It rolls steadily, and the parts look sturdy. The only problem is that, it is kind of heavy in iteself, so it is hard to carry around, up and down staircases, on and off the train, when it is full.
